Data Pro v2.0 and Society Manager v2.0 both have the option to notify members of an update via e-mail.
When a tee-off schedule is published, you can set it to three 'states'; read-only (for example, the schedule has already been agreed), free-slot edits (players can allocate themselves a free start time) or all-slot edits (which allows players to allocate themselves a start time whether it's free or not). However, the administrator will retain complete control over the schedule via the admin console which allows him/her to edit/add or remove tee-off slots, plus set a deadline for members to allocate themselves a time.
In almost all cases, data can only be published by the adminstrator (via Data Pro or Society Manager).  However, the administrator can allow members to allocate themselves a tee-off time from schedules published to Our Golf Online.
As alluded to in the previous FAQ above, the administrator can decide whether the data they publish can be viewed by the public, or should be 'member only'.  If the webservice should by 'member only', the adminstrator should only send login details to players who should have access to the information. 'Our Golf Online' also employs standard security practices, such as the use of SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificates.
You need no IT experience whatsoever.  The process is very simple.  A set-up wizard will guide you through the process of setting up the webservice, which will take literally a few minutes - guaranteed.  Once the society is set-up, enter data into the software as normal, then, when you're ready, press the publish button.  The data will then become available for browsing by your members/the public via Our Golf Online.  It really is that simple.
You can publish data to Our Golf Online as many times, and as often as you wish.  There are no restrictions on usage.
The length of time it takes to publish to Our Golf Online depends almost entirely on the speed of your connection to the internet and the amount of data you have to publish.  The faster your connect (e.g. broadband), the quicker the process will be.  Note that the process has been optimised and, in general, publishing is very fast.

How are the annual membership payments processed?

If your club or society increases (or indeed, decreases) in size to the point it moves into a new 'member license' bracket, we will expect you to change your annual license to reflect this situation WHEN it is up for renewal.  For example, if the number of members in your society is 17 when you sign up, but increases to 22 during the course of the year, we would expect you to purchase the 21-50 member license once your initial (1-20 member) yearly membership has expired.

How often can I update the webservice?

How is the data secured?

How do I invite my members to use this webservice and view updates?

You say that users can allocate themselves tee-off times if I let them.  What are my options when I publish a new schedule?

Can data be entered online, or only via Data Pro or Society Manager?

How easy is it to set-up my society's webservice and publish data?  Do I need any IT experience?

You state that I must purchase an annual member license which reflects the number of players in my Player Library.  What if the number of members in our club/society (and hence players in the Player Library) increases during the year?
