The Golf Score Recorder handicap card is credit card sized and produced from solid PVC. It is also litho printed and, unlike composite (encapsulated) cards with paper inside, is extremely durable. Your card will be personalised before it is sent to you , and will include your membership number, name, current handicap (based on the calculations used by Data Pro or Society Manager), as well as issue and expiry dates. All details will be embossed onto the card. Once you receive your card, we ask you to validate it by signing the signature strip on the back.

Here at Golf Score Recorder Ltd, we believe in keeping things simple. That's why there's no need to subscribe to a handicapping service in order to obtain a card. Simply send us your scorecards, purchase a card and we'll post it out to you.
Our handicap cards are valid for one year. If you need a new card, to reflect a change in your handicap, or your previous handicap card has expired, you can order a new one for only £5! Simply quote your membership number when you purchase via our exclusive renewal service.
Simple - place an order then send three signed scorecards to the address of our registered office, and you'll have your personalised handicap card in a few days...
Two key words; 'Durability' and 'Creditability'.
Durability: If you take your handicap card out on the course, you want to ensure it stays in one piece (especially if you encounter heavy rain!).
Credibility: If you were to print off your own handicap certificate onto A4 paper then it would have little credibility. Anyone with access to a PC and a printer can do this, and the golf club know it! A verified and professionally produced handicap card with embossed personal details has a huge amount of credability.
How is my initial handicap calculated?
How do I renew/update my handicap card?
Not a member of a club? Do you need a recognised golf handicap, enabling you to play on the courses you visit whilst on holiday or business? Do you regularly play against other golfers of different ability and need proof of playing ability? Then the 'Golf Score Recorder Ltd handicap card' is the answer.
The only way to obtain an official handicap is to join a private golf club. However, our handicap card is recognised worldwide and accepted as proof of playing ability. In fact, we have never had a report of it being rejected. Our golf handicap certificates are the next best thing that you can have to an official handicap, and can be used for entry into Corporate or Society events, Pro-Am and Charity Golf events. Alternatively, if you're looking to play golf whilst on holiday or travelling on business, rest assured that our handicap card will enable you play.
Note: although we have members who use the handicap card to enter open competitions, we recommend that you contact the appropriate club secretary prior to applying for entry. We cannot guarantee the acceptance of your handicap card in this instance as this is down to the discretion of each club.
