Data Pro is so flexible, it can be used by an individual for a personal record
of scores, or by an entire society. The software not only allows the
user to enter an UNLIMITED number of rounds for an UNLIMITED number of
players, it also contains built in wizards to make the process quick and
simple.
When we first began designing Golf Score Recorder, we had to decide how the
user was going to enter details of each new round. What format
would golfers be most comfortable with? The answer was simple. In
the real-world, Golfers used scorecards; so we used the same format and
created the 'Virtual Scorecard' entry system.
Once each player associated with the round has been selected, the Virtual
Scorecard will be displayed. The Virtual Scorecard allows the user to
enter various details regarding the round, such as each player's gross score,
as well as information relating to the number of fairways/greens hit in
regulation, plus the number of chips, putts and sand saves/shots per
hole. Note that the Virtual Scorecard is very elastic, in that you only
need to enter each player's Gross or Nett score; all other information is
voluntary.
The Virtual Scorecard makes recording data very easy, and in some cases it
automatically calculates information. For example, during score
entry the software compares each player's gross score with the hole's stroke
index/player's handicap to automatically calculate the nett score and
stableford score.
